EPL: Burnley vs Crystal Palace

Returned to save Palace from the drop last term and he’s set to take them clear of the drop this time around too. The Palace boss has led them to 12 points from 10 games, putting them seven clear of the drop already.

These kind of games are the ones Palace will target for points. That’s clear from their results so far, as each of their four defeats so far have come against teams placed sixth or higher heading.

Into the weekend. Outside of that, they’ve won two of three away trips, while they’ve conceded in just two of their other six games overall.

A 3-0 defeat to Everton in the Carabao Cup in midweek was the latest setback for Burnley, who sit second from bottom in the Premier League after a dire start.

The Clarets have lost eight of their first 10 games in the league this term, while they’ve been beaten in all five games at Turf Moor.

Vincent Kompany’s side had been projected to finish comfortably in midtable, but so far they’ve failed to hit their stride in the top-flight.

Even an ease in the strength in their schedule hasn’t helped, while a home clash against a shrewd Crystal Palace side looks troublesome.
