EPL: Sheffield United vs Wolves

The home side have endured their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign after ten games and things will not get any easier for the Blades when they host Wolves on Saturday.

Paul Heckingbottom’s men gained promotion to the Premier League last term but it has been a baptism of fire with just one point picked up from their opening ten fixtures.

Last weekend they suffered their ninth loss of the league campaign, having been hammered 5-0 by Arsenal and they were also destroyed 8-0 by Newcastle as part of their recent run.

In fairness to the Blades, their recent run of fixtures has not been easy with Tottenham, Newcastle, Manchester and Arsenal among their opponents in their last six games.

And this weekend’s clash with Wolves at Bramall Lane starts a softer run of matches with relegation-threatened pair Bournemouth and Burnley soon to face them.

But it is hard to make a case for Sheffield United right now as they are leaking goals and offering little going forwards, especially with striker Oli McBurnie unavailable for this contest.
