Stockport County vs Blackburn Rovers

Salzburg will head to Enschede with a 2-1 lead to protect from last week’s first leg but that does not mean the Austrian giants will sit back as they look to seal their place in the Champions League play-off round in style.

Pep Lijnders’ side are certainly used to advancing in Europe’s premier club competition, they have reached the group stage in each of the last five years, and confidence should be high, as they have won all four of their competitive matches this season by an aggregate score of 16-4.

However, the Austrian giants have conceded in three of those four games and Twente, who bounced back from last week’s first leg by beating NEC in the Eredivisie, can get on the scoresheet, but that may be as good as it gets for them.

After a 3-1 loss in the first leg, Union Saint-Gilloise face an uphill battle to progress to the Champions League playoff round. However, Slavia Prague’s mixed away record could give them some hope.

The visitors have lost 13 of their last 26 away games in Europe and they’ve been beaten in six of their previous nine trips in this competition.

The hosts lost 4-3 at Westerlo at the weekend but their focus was likely on this clash. Their only Champions League home game to date was a 2-0 victory over Rangers and they should get over the line against a Slavia side that struggle on their travels.
